Where SIAN comes from
SIAN Safety was founded in 2008 by a small group of hearing-protection engineers in Jiangyin, Jiangsu — a coastal industrial city about 90 minutes from Shanghai. The founding bet was simple: most "earplug factories" sold to importers in China were repackaging trading offices. We wanted to own the line.
Today our factory runs 12 production lines across four product categories — silicone earplugs, foam earplugs, eye masks, and earmuffs — on one floor. We're certified to ISO 9001:2015 (re-audited annually by SGS), CE EN 352 for our hearing-protection range, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 across all yarns and fabrics, and BSCI for our social compliance.
Total capacity: 50 million pairs per year. Total exports: 60+ countries. Top markets: U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Australia, Japan.
R&D — five material families, one floor
Our R&D lab works across five material families:
1. Medical-grade silicone (food-contact FDA grade) for reusable earplugs.
2. Slow-recovery polyurethane foam for high-attenuation industrial plugs.
3. 22-momme mulberry silk for premium hospitality sleep masks.
4. Lyocell (eucalyptus-derived "milk silk") for cooling sleep masks.
5. Acoustic-filter polymers for musician and concert earplugs.
Every new SKU goes through a 21-day sampling cycle: tooling (if required), pilot run, 5-pair internal test, 100-pair pilot to seed market, customer feedback, refinement, mass production. We don't shortcut the cycle, even for repeat OEM customers.
For OEM buyers, we offer free in-lab development on any of the five material families, billed only against your first PO.
